SoundForce Modular synths and MIDI controllers

Soft Soldering Jig

Luuk’s projectjes

Atari Invasion

We bring Atari to the party. Retro computing combined with hardware hacks and homebrew projects.
Envirionmental monitoring
KITT Engineering is involved in several projects concerning environmental monitoring and Citizen Science. These products will be shown and as sidekick some microwave projects will be demonstrated. This includes optimalisation of Wifi antenna’s.
MakerSpace Minden

The MakerSpace Minden is a German Maker / Hacker Space located in the city of Minden in NRW. Next to the usual Maker-Stuff like 3D-Printers, LaserCutter, Workspaces for Wood, Metal and Electronics we also host a small Museum of Retro Computers (Ironically also with Dutch Retro Computers like the Tulip System 1)
Ask Me About 3D Scanning
Come discuss 3D Scanning, make a 3D Scan of yourself, see some examples and ask any question. See also the presentation.
Luggable’ computer

A custom solution in between a laptop and a PC built into a IP65 rated hardcase. It’s an attempt in building a fully repairable and upgradeable portable computer with a focus on performance.
A Different Kind of Hacking

I want to present a series of artifacts of projects that I feel all have a connection to hacking to also open the conversation about what hacking is. I think hacking includes moving against the grain, being resourceful, and finding other ways of doing something thereby questioning the conventional structures in how systems are designed. The projects showcased at the Hackfest will be components all related to the storytelling nature of data. These are small artifacts I created in workshops or classes including a woven antenna that captures the sounds of one’s surroundings, a description of and demonstration of data visualization using an ecofeminist lens, and a digital visualization of soundwaves. Inherently a work in progress, these are meant to show the direction of thought I want to go in with “what is hacking” and I would be curious to hear what others think.
Rugzakrobot

Design for Licht door Wout Zweers

12:30 AHA autonomous humen authority by René Paré
The relation of humans to their environment is evolving in evolutionary ways. Not only we humans change over time, so does our natural environment, climate, biodiversity. This century technology has gained enormous and growing influence in and over the lives of humans. Increasingly technology is getting under our skin, in our brains and replacing body parts – taking over control.
Meanwhile control over the things we as humans created is slipping away. The evolution is shifting from natural processes to artificial control through systems and processes we no longer are able to manage. Keeping up with rapid and sometimes threatening developments like AI, robots, drones – but also microplastics, air pollution and exhaustion of resources call for a countermovement.
We need to reconsider having agency over technology, demand transparency and open access, set rules for applications, limit the powers that apply technology for profit. Science should be serving mankind and considered to belong to the commons, knowledge is not to be used against people.
13:30 Low Budget / No Budget 3D Scanning by Richard Garsthagen
Imagine turning anything—from tiny things to massive landmarks—into a 3D objects you can use in your games, 3D-print as miniatures, or explore in VR.
This session will show you how accessible 3D scanning has become. We’ll explore multiple approaches: using nothing but your phone, low-cost handheld scanners, or use no equipment at all!!
Along the way, Richard will share lessons learned from building a massive 120-Raspberry Pi scanning rig over a decade ago, running a 3D scanning studio, and keeping up with the fast-moving world of scanning technology.
You’ll leave with practical tips, see and some demos to start capturing the world around you in 3D—no budget required. Also Richard will be present as on the Maker Market all day if you want to talk to him about 3D Scanning (or any other cool technology)
14:30 The story and maths behind the Sferical lamps by R3GB

I’d like to take you with me on how I build a generator for spherical lampshades. This generator is my contribution to boxes.py, an amazing website if you want to lasercut boxes! I’ll talk about how math slowly turns into magic. Don’t worry too much about the math. It’s mainly trigonometry and it will be visualised, so everyone can follow along. Magic happens when we introduce light in the equation, but the real magic is that it is open source and you can make your own spherical objects!
15:30 Through the Black Box: Uncovering AI Alignment by Ji Darwish
As we rapidly integrate artificial intelligence into every aspect of life, its transformative power carries profound ethical and practical risks. This talk explores AI alignment and safety through a critical, engaging lens. Attendees will confront compelling real-world case studies, from biased facial recognition systems to autonomous vehicle failures, to understand how misaligned AI can amplify societal inequalities, endanger lives, and distort democratic processes. The presentation concludes with actionable insights and best practices, empowering IT professionals to champion transparent, ethically grounded AI that genuinely serves humanity’s interests.
16:30 How to make your own fractal jigsaw puzzles by Frans Faase

During the talk, I will explain about why I got interested in fractal jigsaw puzzles and how I developed a program to create them. I will explain about the fractal that is used in the puzzle. I will show several of the prototypes that my daughter and I made. I will explain about all the design choices that you can make into a puzzle. I will show how to use the program that I developed. And what about the difficulty of the puzzles? One or many solutions?
